Treo 600 Stops Vibrating – Can this FAQ answer be for real?

This is pretty funny, it almost makes me think of a Dilbert cartoon and ISO 9000. At least they worked out a procedure.

Looks like Handspring got some vib motors that get hung up from time to time, or they have a process contamination issue. Sometimes a physical procedure can be developed that works. Two sharp tapes on the dash of my old Mustand would always bring the gauges back to life, it it was done in the proper position.

I wonder if the motor passed the Las Vegas Test. A standard for vibration motors… 8 secs on CW rotation, 52 secs off, at 60 deg C for 48 hours. Sort of a moderate temp life test.
