The customer is always right? Not anymore

This is an intereting article. For sure, there are customers that are not worth having… but how do you tactfully get rid of them. I guess thats part of what Best Buy is having to deal with.

Its an interesting article, I guess I would be one of those customers. I only buy when things are on sale… and if they are not, I always try to negotiate… Not exactly the type of customer that brings a lot of revenue to them. Also on larger items, its rare that I will make a purchase decision without a ton of sales guy time.

Otoh, I would not scam them with the rebate thing. I hate rebates… often times the suckers never send me the check, and come up with the excuse it got lost. Yea, sure it did. I hope this rebate concept goes by the wayside. Its a loose loose deal. The company gets scammed by those you return items yet still get the rebate, and the customer gets scammed by the company not fullfilling their terms of the rebate. I’m still waiting for a $20 rebate from Microsoft, and another $30 from a scanner outfit. I doubt, I will ever see them. But at least I negotiated a good upfront price.
