Yesterday I was going to order Crucial Conversations which was recommended by Sue at Dreamscape. It sure looks to be a great book for managing people..

So I go to the Crucial Conversations website, it says save 30% by buying online. Cool!!!!

And then they more than make up for it on the shipping $6. I don’t think so. I’m having Barnes and Noble order it from me, and I’ll pick it up next time I’m there which is fairly often. One does have to be careful not to waste a lot of time, just to save a few bucks though.

I also order a fair amount of hazmat… and am really ticked off at being gouged an extra $20-$40 for shipping. Last time I needed some Sodium Carbonate, it was $24 for shipping $17 worth of chemcial. I don’t need really pure material, tech grade is oten times overkill. So last week I bought a container at Walmart (pool conditioner), and drove home with it with the rest of my groceries. Shipping chrage $0, and it was under $5.
