Yahoo 360 started Beta testing yesterday with a limited audience. For now, its by invite only, however those invited can invite as many others as they want.

I’ve been foloowing Jeremey Zawodny’s blog for a while, and he made a blog posting stating that if one was expecting an invite from him, to let him know. Hmmm, it almost looks like a feeding frenzy going on. He has over 200+ requests for invites in 36 hours. Some I’m sure are legit, otoh, I really wonder if he has than many close connections that he truely intended to invite. Perhaps so, but otherwise, it may be people just jumping on the bandwagon. Imho, thats pretty low.

If you do want to be involved with Yahoo 360, you can go to Yahoo’s 360 Beta registration page, and expect one from them in a few weeks. Personally I think thats the right thing to do. And yes, thats what I did.

In the meantime, I’m a little ticked at what Yahoo recently did to groups. I moderate one, and am members of 6-7 others. The changes they made are really marginal. I wrote them and asked if it was an early April fool’s joke. In retrospect, it may well be that they are planning to shift groups to 360. Not sure, but I sure hope we don’t loose a bunch of folks during the transition.
