Time For A Time Audit

I’ve done time audits since the late 80′s. As a rule of thumb, I run such an analysis every 6 months or so to keep the saw sharp. Whats really cool, is Bob created an Excel spreadsheet that automatically sums the task times, and creates a bar graph. While personally, I tend to go much further in depth than the 10 categories Bob used in the spreadsheet, it appears quite simple to modify for additional tasks. As today is a nontypical day, with 4 hours worth of meetings, and 4.5 hours of driving, I’m going to wait until tomorrow to start. My time audits are typically done in June and December, but I’m going to jump the gun this time around thanks to Bob.

As an FYI, to download the spreadsheet, you need to look on the left hand column of his web page. It is highlighted, but it did take me a couple minutes to find it.
