This is a pretty impressive unit. Ultrasonic energy is used to create and direct a mist into a wound for debradement and cleaning. It should have significant impact for those with wounds that do not heal. In addition, the non-contact approach would also seem to improve patient comfort compared to a contact method.

I did a little bit of digging through the USPTO, and found the following patent. Its quite impressive, as is the list of prior art.
