This is amazing, a guy builds one from scratch. Now, if he had a ruby, that would be really impressive, but non the less, this is cool. I do wonder about the long term longevity of such a device. Low voltage switching without noise and glitches is tricky, especially without prepping the surfaces. Srill, if I guy had one of these, and had to replace parts periodically, its still a whole lot better than spending the big bucks for a CMM.
