ZoomFix – Online Computer Repair

Just tried this one out tonight. In one word mind blowing. There was no need to take my computer in for service. These guys did the test and debug all online over the net. And they talked through what they did while they did it. So not only did I get my machine fixed, but I learned quite a bit as well.

It turnes out I had way too many resources getting consumed during startup. They changed the initial startup apps around a little bit, and that helped. Next, they dug into the registry, and found quite a number of loose ends, and other irrelevant info. As the tech was going through it, he was asking questions as to how I used the machine, and what I could do without, or what I could run as I needed, rather than leaving an app in memory from the get go.

I’m not one to generally get too excited, but this one, all I can say is wow!

Sure, there is a downside, security is a concern, but then again, who knows what happens when your machine and data hang at a computer store. At least here, you can see whats going on.

At one point, the rescue tool did lock up, but it was a painless recovery, all accomplished by the guys at zoomfix. Too bad hardware vendors can’t do the same, when it comes to customer service. Again, zoomfix=amazing… of course I’m jazzed, as my machine is now loads faster too, and it doesn’t hang anymore.
