MSP430 Design Contest
Show us what you’re made of by entering the MSP430 eZ Design Contest. Pit yourself against other top designers from around the world by submitting your design featuring TI’s MSP430 – the world’s lowest power microcontroller.
I’ve played around with this part over the years. The low power aspects make for some very interesting potential projects. Everything from smart watches to rf sensor arrays are possible.
The design contest also allows one to get the dev kit for $15 which is pretty slick, although I must admit the normal price is only $20. I have the larger kit, but for $15 I may go ahead and pick up one of these guys too.
Lastly, the virtual lab allows you to run code over the internet on physicial hardware. Thats a pretty slick idea.
