Free IQ – The Marketplace for Ideas

Free streaming for audio, video, ebooks, articles etc. A way to present your ideas to the world.

This looks to be pretty cool, and hopefully once the snake oil goes away, incredibly useful for sharing knowledge, and even making some money. Of course, the problem right now, is every snake oil salesman and his brother jumped in, and the content quality is not so good. Being they have a review system, just like a wiki, the rehashed duplicate web content in video form should scroll to the bottom of the list, as higher quality content becomes available.

Here are a few snippets from FreeIQ.

Question: Free IQ sounds great, but why would all this information be free?

Great question, and the answer is simple. You see, most of the speakers, authors, experts, consultants, gurus, coaches and trainers are experts because that topic is what they do for a living. For many, their area of expertise may be their whole career.

So when you see an online presentation by an expert – whether it’s a video of a seminar, an audio recording of a presentation, a Powerpoint® full of research or even a free e-book – many of the experts have even more information and content for sale.

My initial thought was whoa…. this could take a ton of work, and then I got thinking. I have a huge library of powerpoint presentations. All I’d need to do is fire up a video cam, do a little editing, and I’m good to go. Hopefully I can jump into the fray sometime this summer. It looks to be a very cool thing.
