Hmmm, for adults and children the above statement is certainly true, but for babies, its a little different. There is variety, but some of the base ingredients are often times the same witin a given manufacturers product line. Then add in the low body mass of an infant, and this imho could be something to be concerned about, especially concering the somewhat ambiguous statements from the FDA.
Now, I would like to think that baby food regs are pretty tight, as far as process control, and monitoring the transit from field to home. Yet, I would have liked to have thought that the pet food manufacturers would not be so foolish as to be so dependent on one contract manufacturer.
Considering the problems with counterfeit infant formula some years back, I sure hope I am way wrong on this.
