Hacking NetFlix : Netflix to Roll Out Unlimited Watch Instantly Service To Customers Today

Interesting….

Of course things are never simple. Getting video off the internet to the tv is a bit problematic, especially since the netflix app, is wintel only at the moment, so say nothing of the available videos being somewhat limited.

LG is planning to roll out a Netflix on demand/tv set top box later this year. That might make for greater consumer acceptance, but it then becomes yet another dedicate device, with no dount a proprietary remote, and more clutter boxes around ones TV.

One suggestion made a few days ago, was for Comcast to buy out Netflix.… I think if that happened, consumers would have an absolute bird, yet it might open greater doors for competition too.

What would be cool, is if someone adds a plugin to mythtv, to provide for Netflix on demand capability. Not sure of the technical aspects of doing so, but then there is real potential…. perhaps even making Netflix on demand portable… (Well I can dream can’t I LOL)
